-- Coming Full Circle --

I think my wedding is coming full circle. Yesterday I was sitting at my desk at work and trying for the life of me to figure out how to do my “popcorn” favors. Then I came across my favorite little Martha Stewart Succulent Favors that I think I must have printed out on DAY 1 of the wedding planning process!

They are seriously the cutest things I have ever seen and something that people can take home with them and transplant into their garden or keep in their kitchen.

I freaking love them! Anyways, I thought, well, why don’t I just use those as part of my centerpieces and accent them with these lovely $1.99 IKEA vases and see where that leaves us…

Maybe sit them on a chocolate brown charger in the center of the table and add some votives and some green floral and we’ll be done! Voila!

I really have to say that the venue does speak for itself. You can see wonderful shots of it here. It really is gorgeous! And it just sparkles! So we’ve decided to go simple on the tables... You really don’t need much. Don’t you agree???

Now…wouldn’t little pillows on the sofas be sassy? Maybe I’m taking it too far…

-- DIY Painted Vases --

I'm attempting a little DIY this weekend.  I take that back A LOT of DIY this weekend.  I am hoping to be putting together and trimming up my invitations so that all I need to do is print them, but along with that I'm going to be doing a good bit of spray painting.  Yep, you heard me.  I'm busting out my craftiness and channeling my Martha to pull out my best version of some painted vases.

I went to Goodwill last weekend and scarfed up all the white, pewtred, plain glass, yellow, metalic, you name it vases...so long as they had a pattern on it and were less than $1.50 a piece they were mine.  I even got some of them at half off.  You have to love Goodwill for their half off days!  Then I went to Lowes and picked up some Mocha/Chocolate colored spray paint.

Maybe I should back up a little bit.  I was inspired by this DIY setting on Style Me Pretty and I thought, hey...I can do that.  I like the idea of small vases on smaller tables because it can give the illusion of a lot of flowers without there being a lot which = lower cost.  LOVE IT!  Here is what there's turned out like:

So beautiful it's not even fair.

Mine will be chocolate in color and accented with whatever green/chartreusey colored vases, candles, and flowers I can find.  I've also found some really neat bronzy colored accent pieces a few places that I may start ravaging through and adding those in for some sass and extra color.  I think the centerpieces may turn out super sassy and I may be very very proud of what I did
(insert music symbols here) All by myself (insert more music symbols here).

Here's my process for painting the vases!
They still need another coat but here is the process start to finish.  99 cent white glass vases, a little spray paint, and voila!

The best thing about the vases is that you can then give flower to people in them (it's not regifting because you totally crafted it in the first place!), you can use them in your house, you could let people take them home with them and you don't have to care becuase you spen next to nothing on them, and they are simply sassy and gorgeous!

So the other day I came across this GORGEOUS wedding which I'm totally gaining inspiration from for my centerpieces and all other wedding day decor! It's JL DESIGNS which is based out of California. They do weddings and social events and just use clean, crisp, all around pleasing schemes to make these lovely settings come to life!

I'm going to post every day! - Centerpieces!-

Good Morning Everyone (who doesn't read this blog)...

I've decided from this day forth, I'm going to post every day...even if it's just a picture. Preferably something related to the wedding, but you never know.

Today's --- Pretty centerpiece ideas that I'm thinking about. Here's a few.

I love this long stem vase. This would add depth to a table without blocking the view across which is a huge pet peeve of mine!

I love the simplicity of each and every one of these ideas. They are easy to accomplish and wouldn't take a florist to do! You could do it yourself with your own bridal team!

This is an absolute favorite of mine due to the rich colors and volume that this setup brings to the table! I love the alternative to just plain old tea light candles...they've now been lifted off the table and are done so with clear modern candle holders. Also an arrangement that you and your mother could do! :)

As the budget has been blown from day one I'm afraid, I'm a huge fan of DIY projects! Well, who am I kidding, this blog is titled Little Miss Martha, I've always been a fan of those kind of projects!
