Hanging Around

Happy Tuesday!
No?  Me either.  Tuesdays are rough for me.  Longer than Mondays always!

And so far today has started on the wrong foot.
(1) Our garage door is broken and I didn't know how to unlock it besides with the automatic thingy so that put me behind a bit this morning. Had to run back upstairs and wake up the husband to ask how to do it.
(2) I forgot my chap stick and my lips are beyond chapped.
(3) Due to running late, I was not able to get coffee -- MAJOR FAIL.
(4) I didn't know it was jeans day at work AND forgot my item for the pitch-in.  I'm "oh well-ing" this one.
(5) And I left my debit card with my husband.  <-- fail.="fail.">

So... moving on with my fun life.

We've always had our TV just sitting on the little bench/TV stand we got from IKEA.
It used to be on the other wall -- I probably should have started with that post, but couldn't find the pictures in a timely manner.  Anyways, it's always been sitting there on a stand.  And no matter how tight we made the stand, the TV always leaned a little towards the front.  And with Baby Kakes getting bigger, we thought we might need a new system. So... we researched a few wall mounts and I made Mr. K go pick it up.

When he got back he had a completely different one than what we had talked about, but he kept calling it "fool proof."  And wouldn't you know, I forget the name of it. Oh yea, it was called the EZ Wall Mount. And it was just that.

We started with this situation -- and there is no judging on the lack of organization going on in my living room right here... = ZERO.

A leaning TV, low to the ground, large and in charge...
And a little Jake Gyllenhaal, why not?!?

To this -- A lovely wall mounted almost perfectly sized for our wall TV.
It was like it was meant to be.

And we kinda love it.

There are a few things that bother me...
Sometimes it's hard to see being in between the windows, but nothing that a little blinds can't fix.
And it's kind of a crap TV... only because the volume is funky and the color sometimes changes...
But, alas, we are poor so a new one is not in our near future.

And you might have noticed we actually swapped it out for a different one.  The original one in the top picture did not fit in between the windows so we grabbed one from upstairs and moved it here.

Voila!

The EZ Mount was really that EZ.

For the first week, we were just waiting to come home to a broken wall and TV as we were sure it would fall off, but about a month later it's still hanging around.

Once Upon a Time

What's my new obsession with Fairy Tales?  Is it the baby?
I don't know... but have you guys been watching this show?!

via
I am going to be honest here.  I started watching Once Upon a Time on ABC for one reason - Ginnifer Goodwin was a part of the cast.  And since I can't get anymore of her through Big Love, I needed a new fix!  I have a girl crush on her... not sure why, but I do.  I just love her.  I love everything she does.  She's so versatile and lovely.

The show is about Emma Swan who is 28 and a bail bondsman.  She's lived a rough life and been taking care of herself she since she was abandoned as a baby.  Then one day, Henry - the son she gave up for adoption 10 years prior - finds her.  He's desperate for Emma's help and believes her to be the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming.  He believes that Storybrooke, the sleepy New England town he calls home, is really a part of a curse cast by the Evil Queen that has frozen fairytale characters in the modern real world leaving them no memory of their former fairytale selves.

We all know I already heart Ginnifer Goodwin, but the cast really is a great ensemble!  There are so many great people associated with this show...

Below you have:
John Doe/Prince Charming played by Josh Dallas - I'm partial because he's an Indiana native.  ;)
Mary Margaret/Snow White played by Ginnifer Goodwin
Emma Swan played by Jennifer Morrison
Sherrif Graham played by Jamie Dornan - SPOILER ALERT - he's now dead :( Woamp Woamp.

But on last week's episode, we were introduced to a new HOTTIE, I mean Character - The Stranger - played by Eion Bailey.

And here's another one for just some more eye candy - Maybe he should have been Prince Charming?!?

Anyways, I digress... so now we have all these crazy questions like "Who is the Stranger?"  He tells us he's a writer and finds inspiration in Storybrooke, but seriously, Who is he?  I mean, really... I'd like to know.

The series is from the creators of LOST so I figure that I'll have more questions before I get any answers, but I'm intrigued by the show and so far while the questions are piling up, they aren't bothering me that much yet.  I do think that sometime soon they'll need to give us just a couple of answers or clear a few things up...

Until then, I'll keep watching on Sunday nights.
Anyone else obsessed?

-- Dizzy --

This morning I woke up with a headache.  I went back to bed.

Then when I got up, I was dizzy.

So I will spend my day laying in bed and working on my laptop, watching movies and shows I love, sipping some coffee, and trying to get rid of this headache.

The lineup is as follows:

Watch Weeds from last night.  Does anyone LOVE this show as much as I do?  I think I just love Mary Louise Parker and the kid who plays Silas.

Watch The American President.  One of my personal favorites...this is Annette Bening and Michael Douglas at their best!  Such a great movie!  I DVR-ed it over night.

Work on my Stella Stuff...from bed.

Catch up on my emails.

Maybe take a nap after I take some more medicine.

Probably schedule an appointment with the Chiropractor...my neck tension and knots are getting out of control.  I rub muscle relaxer on it every night before bed.

Finish the last few trickling Thank Yous that are still lingering over my head.

Sounds like a full sick day.  What do you guys do on your sick days?

-- Cupcake Girls --

Happy Labor Day!

I think there is a "Cupcake Girls" marathon on WE TV.  I think I love them.  Heather and Lori.  I love their attitudes, their style, and their store!!!  While I've never been there, I can imagine that I would love them.  I would work for them no problem!

They met when they were 15 working in retail and have been friends ever since!  I love that they kind of live by the seat of their pants and that not everything always goes as planned.  And they let you see that!  Because we all know life and business never goes as planned!

I love their branding too.  It's so vintage and all about the girls!

Does anyone watch this show?

I think their 24 Carrot, Versace, and Red Velvet sound WONDERFUL!!!  Wish I could open a franchise!  LOVE!!!
