This past weekend we did The Color Run here in Indianapolis. We did it with a few of my friends from work. It's the first 5K that I've done in a while, but I thought it would be a fun one! So, all we needed to do was pick up our packets before hand and we would be on our way to a colorful morning and cool stroller!
Mr. K went to pick up our packets on Friday before the race and got in line... a line that was all the way around the building that had the packets. There were tents set up outside, but not enough for apparently the 20,000 people who had signed up for it! He waited in like for 30 minutes and then it started to rain, lightening, thunder, and hail, and he said that was it.
So, we started our Saturday a little earlier than usual and got up when Ells got up. We had to go extra early because of missing the packet pick up and unfortunately for us, the Brickyard was also this weekend, which meant that all the hotels were booked as well as parking places!
When we got there, we threw Ells in her stroller, and got in line to get our numbers! Here's Ell's sporting the sweat band ready to roll -- literally.
Here's a picture of us waiting before.
It was sea of white. We were crowded in....packed in like sardines.
But somehow we all found each other and got to run/walk/stay together!
Here's Mr. K and I before...
Don't. judge. It. was. an. early. morning. without. coffee.
Enough. Said.
So we ran...
Through Orange...
Through Blue...
Through Pink...
Through Purple...
Through Yellow...
And here's how we turned out...
We even snagged a picture for our 12 in 12.
And here's my little tiny dancer dancing in the mosh color pit! Isn't she the cutest?!?
And then it was time to go home....
I think I should take her on a 5K everyday because she slept like a trooper that night! It was wonderful. And clearly...she had a great time!
