-- DIY Sunburst Mirror (again) --

Well, it's done.  Finally.  It took a few "stages" but I have finished it.

Here's where I left you the other day.

After a couple more trips to Michaels, a lot of pinches on my thumb, and some spray painting in front of my neighbors, here is my final product.

Don't mind the paint samples on the wall.  Thanks to the mirror, I've decided on the chocolate.
I would like to say though that I did not find this mirror as easy as I thought it would be.  Gluing and painting was easy, however I did decide that I would have done the gluing portion differently next time.  I remember Janell stating that she was glue happy and then just sanded the excess down.  Well, when I tried to sand the excess down, it melted and became a mess. Needless to say, my middle is not as clean as I'd like it to be, but I'm working on a way to handle that.

I have no patience so I had to put it up.  I do like the look of it though.  I did not paint it so that EVERYTHING shows cream/ivory.  The nubby parts of the bamboo sticks that were black do kind of show through, but I like that.  If you do one, you might choose differently.

Mike asked me why I didn't paint it yellow?  Haha.

I'd love to see your attempts!  :)

I love this Abby! I made a sunburst awhile ago but soon after I started feeling like it was too small, I love the massive scale of yours! It turned out gorgeous :)
By the way, thank you so much for your sweet comment on my hutch makeover - I really appreciated it :)
